Johnson's Grass, like Star Grass, is a short delicate grass. Runners contain plants of 2 green leaves 1/2' to 1" in length.  Each plant is surrounded by a serious array of roots.  It grows very well and does not require a deep sand bed.  Johnson's grass may reach a height of 2.5".  After a period of acclimation this grass will make a wonderful transitional plant from reef to taller grass bed.  The substrate in which our grasses grow in the wild is available for purchase.  It is full of minerals and living organisms.
