Notify when available
$7.99

We will sell this macro in billiard ball sized portions.  Ulva can be found in large sheets, or growing like a crumpled up piece of paper.  Sea lettuce can be placed in a sump as a nutrient exporter or in your main tanks as a treat for fish.  Ulva can also be placed in a main tank for beauty.  Be careful, it is tasty to any fish. In the sump,  it is great for growing your pod supply.  Pods congregate in it like a letter in an envelope.  Due to your mission, you are welcome to inquire as to what state we are finding:  sheets or crumpled.  Those crumpled green pieces are especially beautiful.

These snails are in high demand for fresh water, brackish water tanks, and ponds. They can be converted easily to salt water and are extremely hardy snails. These snails are not a variety that will crawl out of your tank. They have a big appetite for algae and will be found on glass and on rocks. Many of the Olive nerites that we have collected have barnacles on their shells. We have had years of experience keeping these snails, but have not had them in stock for quite a long time. We are happy to offer them again!

Wild Green Molly

The Sailfin Molly, Poecilia latipinna, is a species of fish, of the genus Poecilia. They inhabit freshwater, brackish, and coastal waters from North Carolina to Texas and the Yucatan Penninsula of Mexico. The sailfin molly was originally described in 1821 as Mollienesia latipinna by the naturalist Charles Alexandre Lesueuer, who based his description upon specimens from freshwater ponds in the vicinity of New Orleans, Louisiana. Sailfin mollies feed primarily upon algae and other plant materials, although they will consume a number of aquatic invertebrates, including the larvae of mosquitos. The sailfin molly is a tolerantt species, as it can exploit the thin film of oxygen-rich surface water with its upturned mouth, so is able to survive oxygen-depleted habitats. A euryhaline species, the sailfin molly may be found in a variety of saline environments, tolerating salinities as high as 87 ppt and breeding in brackish waters.

These snails are in the astrea family of snails. They are the fancy relatives. They will eat like pigs though. If you need some help controlling some nuisance algae, these are the ones to choose. They look great fro your main tank, but will also keep the algae under control in your sump or refugium as well.
