Gold Mystery snails are fantastic looking and great workers for fresh water tanks, and ponds. Gold Mystery snails have a great color and will stand out in a planted aquarium. They are better suited for ponds or very large aquariums. These snails are a larger snail, will attain the size of a ping pong ball. They also consume a lot of algae and decaying plant material. They do reproduce, but it is more easily accomplished in a pond setting. If you need to remove a lot of algae or reduce plant litter, I recommend these guys.

The Butterfly Goby (Neovespicula depressifrons) is a species of waspfish found in coastal habitats of the Indo-West Pacific region. N. depressifrons is the sole member of the genus Neovespicula. Synonyms include Apistes depressifrons and Vespicula depressifrons. Despite being traded as an aquarium fish under a variety of (somewhat misleading) common names, including dusky panther goby and butterfly goby, this fish is not a goby; it is in fact a member of the waspfish family Tetrarogidae within the suborder Scorpaenoidei. N. depressifrons is a small species, reaching a maximum size of 10 cm. It is similar to the bullrout in shape and colouration – mottled brown with a distinctive light stripe running along the dorsal surface from the nose and along the back of the fish. It has two dorsal fins, the first being notably taller than the second. Like other waspfish, N. depressifrons is a stealthy predator that feeds on various small fish and invertebrates. Also in common with other waspfish, it is equipped with venomous spines. N. depressifrons is a euryhaline species, so may be found in saltwater, brackish water, and freshwater environments.

This species occurs in a wide variety of habitat types, including the open ocean, brackish waters, and the freshwater habitat of rivers. In Australia it can be found in harbors and estuaries around piers. Its ability to survive in a wide range of salinities makes it a model organism in the study of salinity tolerance. Juveniles are especially tolerant to salinity changes, easily maintaining homeostasis in variable environments such as estuaries. Although the silver moony displays territorial behavior, the species can be kept in saltwater aquaria and is easy to rear in captivity. It can remain solitary or form schools. It is a detritivore and planktivore.

Albino Rainbow Sharkfish

In stock
Delivery period: 4 working days

$12.99

The Albino Rainbow Shark shark (Epalzeorhynchus frenatus 'Albino'), is a species of freshwater fish in the carp family, Cyprinidae. It is endemic to Thailand. The albino red-fin shark or albino rainbow sharkminnow is a variety of rainbow shark with a white body and red/orange fins. It closely resembles "normal" rainbow sharks in temperament and appearance, thus they share the same common names in the aquarium industry. Rainbow sharks are tank-bottom and aquarium-surface cleaners. Being bottom- and mid-level dwellers, they consume leftover fish food, but also eat the algae growing off surfaces. They are known to be peaceful with their own kind in the wild but have been known to be aggressive with one another if kept together in a tank. Threat displays and fighting are likely to occur. This fighting behavior involves head-and-tail butting, and also biting. Rainbow sharks are compatible with barbs and rainbowfish, which are upper- and middle-tank dwellers. They can also live with danios, loaches, plecos, rasboras, and gouramis. Rainbow sharks are not picky herbivorous and omnivorous eaters, but are primarily consumers of algae in the form of tablets, wafers and flakes. They also eat live foods, such as insect larvae, tubifex worms, periphyton, crustaceans, phytoplankton, zooplankton and aquatic insects. Diet also include lettuce and spinach. They will also eat frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp.
